Tracking down a studio recording of Kygo's unreleased remix of Home We'll Go by Walk Off The Earth, or at least making it listenable in high quality.
The remix was played exclusively at virtually every DJ set from June to November 2015, one month after it was ultimately replaced by Steve Aoki's remix at Ultra Records due to label politics. Some of the confirmed festivals include Roskilde, Firefly Festival, and Osheaga.
From our findings so far, the remix seems to have been premiered at Hotel Bergen (June 13, 2015), and the last available recording is from Corona Capital (November 21, 2015).
Here's how you can help:
The current main method is contacting festivals and broadcasters directly to get access to an official recording of a part where the remix can be heard in high quality. Ideally the direct mixer output, but official live footage is also welcome as new archival material.
Below are lists of festivals Kygo performed in during the time frame where Home We'll Go was played (June - November 2015), one of which is a list where no recording of the remix was found. Finding footage of it from one of them will help find more festivals to contact, and thus more chance of acquiring it. If you still have footage from one of the festivals listed below, check if it includes the remix!
If you're a music producer, you can help by contributing to the most accurate and faithful remake possible here: Home We’ll Go remake.
